Aftercooler

The aftercooler is a critical component of the turbocharging system. Its primary function is to cool the high-temperature air compressed by the turbocharger, lowering intake air temperature to increase air density and engine volumetric efficiency, ultimately boosting engine power output and fuel economy. Common failures include internal or external leaks, and clogged or damaged cooling fins, which reduce cooling efficiency. When selecting, OEM parts ensure optimal fit and cooling performance; for aftermarket parts, verify material, welding quality, and cooling efficiency meet standards; replacement parts must match the original's interface size, mounting position, and cooling capacity.
